Holly Cooper
Hatha, Vinyasa Flow and TRX Yoga teacher

Holly is the founder of Studio iO, a small dedicated Yoga Space in central Brighton where she teaches weekly classes in Hatha, Vinyasa Flow and TRX Yoga.

Holly’s passion for yoga began when she was at school although she was keen to practice yoga purely for it’s physical benefits to improve her sport performance. It was after several years of dynamic practice that Holly then decided to travel and explore yoga all over the World, her first stop was India followed by Thailand, Bali and Australia. It was in these countries that her passion grew further after truly finding out what yoga really is. Her practice became deeper and much more of a mind, body and soul experience. Realising that it’s not just about practising postures (asanas) but it’s also an incredible discipline that teaches us how we treat ourselves, others, how to stay calm and focused, encouraging us to overall look after ourselves and eat well.

Holly also travelled further afield exploring yoga in Southern America and then went onto find the college she trained with, the Prana Yoga College based in Vancouver. After completing her 200hr Yoga Alliance (YA) affiliated Hatha teacher training she started teaching straight away in the UK, since then she has qualifications in teaching Vinyasa Yoga studying with Shiva Rea, teaching Yoga to Children with the Special Yoga Centre in London and completed One to One teacher training with Kate Ellis. She regularly travels to London to visit centres like Tri Yoga to complete workshops and further her knowlegde. Her local teacher Sally Brooks keeps her motivated and challenged in her practise.

Holly is currently on maternity leave but will return to teaching Summer 2017.
