I first came to yoga in my early 20’s when I was suffering from shoulder and back pain, and had gained poor posture alignments due to my job at the time. I was recommended Yoga and now I have been practicing for over 10 years.
My personal practice includes Iyengar, Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga and I like to integrate these styles into my class.
I graduated in 2015 with Australian Academy of Yoga learning in Melbourne. The course was an Advanced Diploma of Yoga, with 1022 in class hours over 2 years. Since then I have taught in Melbourne, Australia and Goa, India. Last year I had the opportunity to attend studies at two ashrams in India gaining a deeper insight to my yoga and meditation practice.
My classes includes breath awareness (Pranayma), postures (Asana) and relaxation and meditation methods (Yoga Nidra). I like to give my students an energising yet restorative practice which encourages the bodies mobility and flexibility, will help to release tension from the body and help with postural alignments. I incorporate relaxation methods to give you the space to unwind and let go of any stress that our daily life can bring. Giving ourselves a sense of harmony, clarity and wellbeing back to the body and mind.
I believe we all have the ability to practice yoga and encourage those who haven’t tried to do so. Yoga is a diverse practice which can be suited to the individual, I know and appreciate that everyone is different and would like to invite everyone to join a class and find their own experience.
