Lauren discovered yoga through taking part in Body Balance classes at a gym way back in 2001. This inspired her to learn more about yoga in its pure form, discovering not only the physical benefits but also the great emotional benefits as she progressed.
Throughout the years she has enjoyed practicing a range of different styles, from slow and steady Yin and Restorative, through accessible Hatha and Iyengar, to energetic Ashtanga and Vinyasa. This has given her a well-rounded perspective on the practice of yoga, which she now brings to her teaching.
Lauren’s teaching style is inclusive and welcoming. Her methods encourage healthy and safe alignment – and enjoyment – above striving for that ‘perfect’ asana shape. She is as dedicated to progressing in her own yoga practice as she is to teaching her students. This ensures she can really connect with the needs and feelings of the yogis in her class.
Lauren completed her teacher training in Laxmi Vinyasa Yoga with Sally Parkes. Her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Professionals UK certificate (RYT-200) allows her to teach in the UK as well as internationally. This qualification is also registered with The Independent Yoga Network (IYN).
