My work has been health-based since 1990. I worked for many years at the Dolphin House Clinic, Brighton, as a massage therapist and reflexologist.
I began practising yoga in 1995 hoping that it would help with my healing from an auto-immune condition. It did help and in 2000 I spent nine months in India staying in Ashrams and travelling to further my understanding of yoga. I studied at Vivekananda (sVYASA) and Satyananda yoga ashrams in Bangalore and taught yoga classes to the local community.
Upon my return to Brighton in 2001, I began a Scaravelli-inspired yoga teacher-training programme in London with John Stirk and Sophy Hoare. I also obtained a City and Guilds teaching certificate. I have since studied extensively with Diane Long and with Pete Blackaby, and continue to develop my own practice.
I have taught continually in Brighton since 2001, in studios such as Natural Bodies, Unit 4, and Evolution and have taught workplace-yoga at local architect practices, national charities, schools, and offices. I have been teaching on yoga holidays and retreats since 2004. Aside from classes, I teach one-to-ones, couples and small private groups.
