Brighton Yoga Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to taking yoga to those who would benefit from it the most. We work with others in organising year-round yoga community outreach programmes. Currently, these include: yoga for women recovering from trauma and abuse, yoga for mental health, yoga in schools, yoga for stressed teenagers, yoga for the police. And we are in discussion with key NHS doctors and managers about the possibility of yoga being a key part of its “social prescribing” agenda. Davy Jones has been teaching yoga for ten years and practising for eighteen. He is chair of the Brighton Yoga Foundation / Festival and was the Green Party’s parliamentary candidate for Brighton Kemptown in the last two elections.
