Shay is a 500H teacher hailing from the West Coast of Canada. She has a background in competitive dance, and started her yoga journey as a compliment to her dance training. She fell in love with Power Yoga and Ashtanga-inspired classes, and her first training was in Progressive Ashtanga (aka Rocket) with The Yoga People. She has since gone on to complete trainings in Mandala Vinyasa and Yin, as she sought balance in her practice. She is passionate about helping people find comfort and ease in their own bodies while having a few laughs in the process. Shay encourages her students to challenge themselves with with an open mind and compassion to their own limits. She believes that a good sense of fun does wonders on the mat and in life.
